I'm considering a Velodyne impact demo for under $200. Good choice?

I am not real familiar with that sub. I would also consider the mirage prestige s8 from vanns, 250 free shipping. Mirage makes good subs, especially at that price. it depends in part in what equipment you are using this with and whether it is for music only or also movies/games etc.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

the price on the mirage just went up from 250 to 300, and the open box returns are gone. But vanns does have one Mirage omni s8 open box for 208 free shipping which is also a very good deal, I just like the aesthetics of the prestige line a little better.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
