Researching amplifiers

Right now I am thinking to get a Sunfire Grand Cinema Signature 7x400.

What other amps should I look at that are competitive in terms of performance in that amplifier's price range?

    LeftCoast I have the Sunfire amp you have and I just wanted to say I love the amp. Its sounds great and has gobs of power. I'm not sure if you what your music to movie % is but I use mine for 90% movies and I love the amp. Just my 2 cents.
    If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

    Thanks for the responses, guys.
    Actually I don't have the amp yet...It is the amp that has my attention at the moment as I build my HT. So yes, I guess more for HT than for music.
    The reason I have opened the thread is I know most folks in the forum have had experiences with a bigger variety of amps than I could possibly research on my own...especially such high end stuff.

    The reasons this sunfire has my attention are: 7.1, power (I want to give the SRT I am getting as much headroom as I can afford), AND that it stays relatively cool.

    I guess I should have specified my criteria for comparison with other amps.

    Chalk it up to me being a newbie.

    Again thanks to anyone and everyone for any knowledge you can impart.
