Never knew they did that. Ours is a small one, just inside of our airport the have the cars lined up as you walk in...so I am not sure they would really have enough to sell some of them off. I can look into it though.
    Thanks.

I would think they would still have some for sale. Usually at good prices, too.

I don't know, they are not like a main branch, but more of an off-branch. I'm am not lucky enough to have very many full size retailers in my area. I suppose if I drove a few hours I could find some that may sell in my area, it is just finding the time to do so.
Found a car I liked in a lot. I will call on Tuesday morning and check their price.
    Its a 2002 mitsubishi galant.

I sold my vehicle for 1600. Had to give up my amps, and stereo that I worked so hard to put in, but I have enough to buy a vehicle now.
I am planning on buying a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am, 4 door. It has hardly an rust and has never seen winter. They guy wants $4750 for it. It has 89,017 miles on it. He comes back from vacation on monday, and said he would hold it for me and sell it to me if I sold my car.
You all suppose that is a fair price?
It is a private sale, so taxes will get me bad, although he said it sat in heated storage all winter long and that they are the only owners and bought it brand new off the lot. They had a farm truck that they used in the winter.
And, I looked under it and No rust. I could not believe my eyes.
So, jump on it? Fair deal?
There are a few blemishes, like a hole in one of the seats where the stuffing is coming out...I figure I can get him to knock down the price a bit for that...and a busted side panel on the outside that he said he will replace for free.

No, that deal sucks. In it's present condition it's worth about 1500 less according to KBB. Keep looking. Oh, and what the hell is the hangup on rust anyway? If you find a car that doesn't have any now, it will in a year or 2 if that is a problem in your area.

So, if your dad is a mechanic, what does he think? Why would you petition your audio forum (with its "older" folks or not)? I would assume he would know a fair amount about repairing and buying a car if he works on them frequently? Fairly vague, open-ended questions like "is this price reasonable" could seemingly be answered by your dad super-easy, correct?
