Do you guys thinks it would be stupid to use the Lsifx speakers as the main 2ch speakers in my bedroom system. I have to sell some equipment and I'm trying to maximize what's on hand. It seems that the electrical is pretty similar to the LSI9's. XO's same...frequency ranges slightly different. Just wondered if there are disadvantages to using these(fx) as the main speakers? Please Help

Aren't they designed to disburse the sound? I'd think you'd lose out on imaging big time, but I've never had those speakers so I'm sure someone else will know better than me.

They can be set to bipole or dipole. You would want to set them to bipole for a more direct sound. They are made for sound effects in a 7.1 system primarily. They were made for the rear and rear center effects. In a small bedroom system they would be o.k. but you would be better served sellng them and buying Lsi 9's. It depends what you are looking for in your system. Try them and see if you like them, just remember to use the bipole setting. Let us know what you think of them as mains.

Even just some monitor 30's or 40's would work and at much less cost. Or it maybe a good time to try a different brand of bookies if your so inclined.

Best bang for the buck would be Monitor 5's with peerless tweets. You could score them for around hundred bucks and would run circles around the new monitor series.

Yep,but for a bedroom,I think the dude is looking for something about the same size as the lsifx's. I would say grab some Epos bookies or Totums.

I may move the fx's from basement to bedroom when I get a chance to see how they sound..I didn't think they would sound great for 2-ch but couldn't figure out why. I'll post my opinion, but may be a while, got an extra busy weekend going. Thanks for your thoughts
