Rockford Fosgate Power 501bd
Performance of the rockford amp:
RMS Power Output (Watts x Channels) 300 x 1
Frequency Response 20-20k Hz
THD at Rated RMS Power 0.05%
Signal to Noise Ratio 100 dB
Input Voltage 14.4v
Peak Power Output (Watts x Channels) N/A
Power at 2 Ohms (Watts x Channels) 500 x 1

would this amp be too much power for two gnx124 subs(wired parallel) in a sealed box?

ok i looked it up...they are 175 watts...4 ohm speakers
what you want to look for is more like a 300wattsx1 @ 2 ohms...the one youre looking at is 500x1 @ 2 ohms
meaning youd be sending in excess of 400 watts to those speakers that can only handle 175
i have the older model of that amp...and it puts out 810 watts...VASTLY UNDERRATED
so if you buy that amp it will be 400 watts of power into a 175 watt sub
the speaker will die in about 3 seconds
    i think they make a 301s? not sure..but i think...and i think it does 300watts x1 @ 2 ohms
    which is what you want
and it will most likely be underrated too...putting out 400-450 watts...which is good...400 watts divided by 2....200 watts to each of those subs is PERFECT

I have a BD500. Paper says it makes 674 watts @2 ohm. That was before it started to Sing. Since having it repaired, Seems stronger. All they did was something with the Transformer. Resoldered or something.
If you want to use a 300m, Go to Best Buy. My local one has a couple on clearance. Besides you would still have the Warranty. Unlike me. Had to pay for my repair.

new RF 2003 models are coming out just at spec basically -- 500 - 550 x 1 instead of the 700 - 800 of old days.

everybody's downgrading -- i hate corporations -- they oughta build amps that are 50,000 x 1 at 8 ohms with 0.00000001% thd and only costing 100 bucks....

until that day -- imma keep buyin **** on clearance.
