I was wondering when this would be done

As some might know, I dropped some weight recently and adopted a healthier lifestyle due to a recent illness. I do a spinning class twice a week and remember thinking, I wonder how much electricity I could generate by pedaling my @ss off.

I'm not the greenest guy on theplanet by no means, but this is a hell of an idea.

for those that don't know, spinning is pretty intense if you do it right. I bet alot of power is generated

    Pretty good idea...from a cost saving platform. I wish I could tap the energy my 3 yr. old grandson puts out.I get tired just watchin' him.

    I don't know if I dreamed it or saw it on TV, but somewhere I think there is a place with pedal powered generators throughout the city where people just randomly jump on them and generate the power that runs the street and traffic lights. I may be delusional, but stranger things are sure to happen in this greening world . . . :D

    Good one John! I plan to do quite a bit of home cycling....surely there are some batteries one can STORE the energy in for emergency use--like when the hurricane knocks out power in N.E. tonight, for EXAMPLE!!
