My amp has been over heating and kicking out. I'm not sure what it is. I think it may be do to the insanely hot temperatures. I live in Tampa, Florida and the temps. have been 90 degrees plus. If anyone could offer any reasons for this to be happening and give any recommendations on solving the problem, it would be greatly appreciated. My setup:
Door Speakers- Front: Polk MM6501
Rear: Polk MM651
Amp: Kicker ZX650.4
HU: Factory Stereo

what is your gain settings?

Amp 1 & 2 are both halfway

Halfway in what respect? Is the gain dial at 0 gain? If its at 0 gain, at noon position, then its not a gain problem.
Anyways, if its not a gain problem, what impedance are you drawing from the amp: 1 ohm, 2 ohm, and etc?
