Great intentional B-Movie style violence, sex and Mexploitation. Very over the top and I'm sure the Lindsey Lohan scenes will be on youtube soon. :D

He knows the score. He gets the women. And he kills the bad guys.

That is just so balls-shatteringly awesome. I can hardly contain myself.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

trejo? Not sure about the **** angels, but he did have a criminal past. Served his time and turned into one of the greatest bad guys in the movies.

Danny Trejo also appeared in "From Dusk til Dawn", one of the greatest movies ever made.

    ....because of Salma Hayak. :o

"Machete" looks like a definite "Go See". An "In Your Face", "Payback is a ****", testosterone-driven flick.

I saw Machete last night. Good flick, and it's definitely a "see in the theatre" type of movie. I knew what to expect, and it didn't disappoint.

That said, I did not like it nearly as much as Planet Terror, Rodriguez's part of the Grindhouse double feature. Grindhouse was my favorite movie going experience of all time. I saw it 5 times on the big screen. Great audience interaction. Planet Terror and Death Proof are among my all-time favorite movies, on or off the big screen.

Machete has great moments that totally make it worth seeing in the theatre, but overall it fell short of Planet Terror.

To sum it up in one line: Machete has amazingly entertaining specific moments, but the inbetween glue that holds them together is weak.

I may like it then as Death Proof is one of my least favorite films of all time. Wish I could the time back I spent watching it.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

I was comparing Machete to Planet Terror, not Death Proof. Robert Rodriguez did Planet Terror and Machete; Quentin Tarantino did Death Proof. They are very different movies; not even in the same category.

Machete is similar to Planet Terror, just not as good. Death Proof is something else entirely.

This looks GREAT; definitely going to pick this up on blu-ray.

There's a great documentary out about Danny Trejo by the way. He wasn't **** Angels, but he was most definitely thug in every sense of the word. I think the documentary was called The Champion or something like that; highly recommended. It was in my netflix instant queue, so I bet it's still there.

    Just finished watching it.

-Stupid as hell, just as I expected it to be.
-Mindless bloody violence and excessive gun power, even better than I expected it would be.
    -Hot girls.
-I did not expect the "theme" to be what it was. The jury's still out on this one.

Overall, Robert Rodriguez does it again.
