What crossovers are these? I was under the impression that they were 1.2's because they had the pin/blade cable but the crossovers look like the originals unless I am mistaken.

With the pin/blade connectors? I guess so much for that foolproof method of checking.

That is odd, but could be a later model when they went to change things or someone changed them out.. I have 2 sets of them here.

The originals came with those massive caps?
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Did those come out of the 1.2's that you just bought? Seems very unlikely they are as you have a pin/blade IC. Those are from the original SRS (blade/blade) not 1.2's IMO.

That's very similar to what my 1.2TL's looked like before I upgraded the xovers (not a 1.2 to 1.2 TL conversion btw).

Those are not the orginal caps. They have been upgraded by Maybe Ben. That is the set that my neighbor picked up from Nekashi

Those are my neighbors. He also has the pin/blade inter. We went over to Oklohoma City to buy them from Nekashi.
I assumed they were the 1.2 because of the pin blade cable. However when we opened them up we were surprised.

Surprised is right! Someone did major surgery on your neighbors xovers to make them TL's. On the other hand, converting yours to TL's won't be as involving IMO.

Well I knew they were not TL's since they had the rdo194's. However I thought they were at least 1.2's since they had the pin/blade.

Why is it that the original SRS had such hugh crossovers compared to the 1.2's and 1.2 TL's?

Those are solen caps on the modified crossover and they are hugh

    Yup saw that already.
Feel really bad for Robert (neighbor) because I was the one that made the assumption that they were 1.2's and never thought to ask what they really were. Even though when I go back and look at the for sale thread there was no mention that they are 1.2's. I guess the pin/blade cable threw me off.
Feel kinda stupid. I have learned a lot about this speaker in the last 2 months.

I guess once I get mine up to 1.2 "TL" status he can give them a listen and see what the difference is.
What should he expect to listen for. I know the originals are said to have more bass. He already has the rdo194 tweeters so that should not make a hugh diff.
Plus his speakers are 4 ohms and not 6.
