I have extra Monitor 30's and Pinpoint AM-40's...what to do?

I do more reading than posting (which is how it should be, in my opinion) so I can't post in the For Sale section. I'm not saying these are for sale but just saying that I don't currently have a use for them. :D I bought Monitor 30's with the Pinpoint AM-40 mounts as suggested by this forum. I've opened the boxes and quickly realized they were not going to work. :(

So....I went off and bought some Polk in-ceiling speakers. They're just for my rears so it's all good....I think. We'll see when I get them in. Should be here tomorrow.

So...I have these brand new Monitor 30's and Pinpoint AM-40 (BTech BT-77) mounts. I've taken the mounts out to look at them, but put them right back in the box. I've opened the Monitor 30's box but didn't even take the speakers out of their plastic.

So...not for sale...but just saying... :D:cool:

PM me to chat.

If they aren't going to be used and not for sale.

    1. You can keep them till they rot.

    2. Put them up for raffle in Club Polk's clubhouse.

    3. Offer them to a charity

    4. I'll send you my address and you can ship them to me. You can pay me storage fees.

    5. Post something helpful and sell in the For Sale section when you meet requirements.

    6. eBay, Craigslists, and other free advertizing venues to see if anyone wants them off your hands.

I know they are not for sale. So, just throwing some option to see what interests you.

    Welcome to Club Polk anyway!

Evidently you either didn't get it or are just being a bit of a smartarse. Either way, that's fine. I'll keep them and figure something out for them, I suppose. As for #5, I have nothing helpful to say. I'm a novice and can't even pretend to give good advice in relation to these things. I choose to keep my mouth shut.

So...I'll move on my merry way now and likely never post again. I feel so welcomed. :D

Evidently you a bit of a smartarse.

Oh, I don't deny that. I think POST 1 seems a bit of smartarse post too. It needs the same kind of intelligent reply in return.

I meant what I said and you are welcome. If you are going to merrily going out and never post again, the loss is yours. Anyway, welcome. :D

haha, what's not to "get". You are wanting to sell something here by skirting the your way around the rules asking people to PM you. I thought that was very clear in your 1st post. :D

Maybe you should just hang on to them (just in case you figure out your OTHER pair wont work out either) LOL !
OR just send them back where you bought them !
    Lesson no 1.
In a constant state of upgrade fever.

I can't send them back where I bought them. I got them while my house was being build. Now the house is done and the speakers are going to hang too low from the ceiling.

Why wouldn't my other ones work?

Why not save em for a bedroom/office/garage system?

In all your reading, too bad you didn't look at the Wanted to Buy section first.

Then you could have responded to my "Bookies for my sister" posting under the guise of trying to be a helpful newcomer, rather than trying to sneak a for sale listing into the speakers section.;)

I didn't think to do that. I tried to send you a PM but I need more posts for that.
