“By using many of the same driver elements found in Polk’s reference LSi series, our engineers are able to create a plug-and-play system with performance that belies its price tag.”

well... with Lsi speaker parts it should sound pretty amazing... especially for a HTIB deal!

Even the non-LSi part bearing TL series sounds pretty nice.

Looks like something that might be ideal for my bedroom. The GF said to me the other day "how many more speakers do we need?" as she saw me looking at some speaker reviews. I told her at least 5, and maybe 10 lol. Something small like these might help keep the peace a bit.

after much debating with myself :) - i've finally come to the conclusion that i personally am actually getting more excited about the top of the line Blackstones than even the new upcoming LSiMs :).

(only solution i guess is to just pick them both up... eventually :))

I don't see the TL1's anywhere on line, what's the release date again? Are they already in Best Buys? Sorry, this was probably covered somewhere else already.

There's no information at that link that tells when or if they are already available. I have been looking everywhere to try and find some TL1's to no avail. Anybody have any other info?

It would be nice if the new series are available by Christmas. Just another reason to tell the wife "look, I bought myself a nice present!" and be done with the bickering.

    Incorrect.

Here's the correct information regarding the new series.

The TL1 is available now. The TL2 should be available in 30-45 days and the TL3 is January 2011.

I thought I remembered reading that they're availalble now in the other posts. The reason I asked again is that I can't find them for sale anywhere. So who has them? Is it still rolling out regionally?

You can call Polk Direct...as far as national distribution chains and B&M stores, dunno what the plan is, it's simply more factual information. Until the TL3 Blackstone comes out....I'm not budging. As good as the TL1 & 2 sound, I gotta have that ring radiator.

    Hi folks,
This is my first post here on this forum. Have not seen the TL2/TL3 line ( design ), but I really like the new compact line TL1. Im considering TL1/TL2 ( Blackstone 1600/2600 5.1 package with a subwoofer + 2 x additional sattelite ).
The manual says I can connect the speakers directly to the receiver , but my receiver has for example 7x 140 Watt output. Can I attach the TL1/TL2/TL3 speakers to the receiver without any issue?
    thanks
    Plutotype

PS: How about the TL2 speakers, how big will they be in comparison to TL1? Any preview-photos available?:)

Yes, you may connect the new TL series to your AVR. They are all basically the same size. Unless you have some very specific measurement requirements, don't worry about it.

Check out the Press area or hit the net for photos. I'm not sure what has been posted, or released in regards to photos, since that's not something they tell me.

Guys, are there significant differences you expect between (TL1 and TL2) or (TL1 and TL3). Also, how do you compare TL1 against RM705 Satellite? Differences noticeable in terms of sound?

I thought to go for TL1 series but wanted to see should I wait for few more months to see how it TL3.

Thanks for providing the above links Topper. Its nice to see Polk use the 5 way binding posts again in this new product versus the dinky leaf spring type connection they have been using in the latest series of plastic RMs they offered the past few years. It again sets Polk apart from other manufacturers of dinky speakers we currently see in stores nowadays (some I was afraid Polk was moving right in with their latest RM satellite offering).

Anyone get a chance to listen to this new speakers at their local store? Would to hear some impression on this. Specially I'm very interested how they sound in low volume for those who live in apartment.

I've spent quite a few hours with them (TL1600) over the last few days and they are a noticeable step up over the old RM705 :).

(In one room i put them on top of my regular towers and had them playing music and nobody who came in to the room could believe the sound they were hearing wasn't coming from the towers :). Ofcourse granted these guys were not audiophiles or anything but they were very pleasantly surprised when i showed them).

Thanks for the sharing this. Now you really got me excited. Since they are time aligned, do you feel the music flows effortless and more musical that is not bright or fatigue? If you ever get a chance to try it again, can you test it on low volume listening to see if you get the same sound quality when listening to normal volume?

Now I can't really wait for the T3 with radiator tweeter. That will be something very special.

In the past, I was thinking about getting the Martin Logan Motion 4 speakers because of the nice mid and highs but they requires lots of power that most receivers don't have enough and low volume listening didn't quite work out. Also, they can be bright.

So now, Polk Blackstone, Paradigm MediaOne or KEF Q series as my list to demo them.

    Ken
