Klipsch Synergy Sub-12
Hey guys,
I have 2 Polk Monitor 70s, a Yamaha RXV765, CS2, and Monitor 50 speakers as surround.
Would the Klipsch Synergy Sub-12 300W sub be overkill? Would it sound good with my system? (Unfinished basement, concrete.)
Thanks!

That's almost the exact same system I used to have. The sub-12 is pretty good for it's price. Not the most musical but great for HT. I now have 2 of them and still use them with my LSI's ... Go for it

Do you think it might be overkill?

No, not overkill at all with the monitors and such. Like I said, I use 2 of them. It has a gain dial on the back so if its too much for you then turn it down.

I agree with G-19...if you can get a 'good' price on them....because there are better subs in the 500-600 dollar range.
The 12s will put out pretty good LFEs but are very sloppy and a bit slow for 'music'?
There's never overkill for LFEs!

I can get it for 270$ shipped. Go ahead?

270 shipped is a really 'good' price! Sure!

270 shipped is a good price. I paid 300 new from circuit city for one of mine as they were closing and then bought a used one here on the board for 250ish shipped.
