Two MW6500 mid drivers pulled from a pair of Monitor 7's. Good cosmetic and working condition.

I'm new to this, obviously, I have a pair of SDA 2's and one of the drivers makes weird cracking sounds with certain music at high volume. I pulled it out and it has hand written warranty info about being replaced in 199_ (faded away) its an MW6502 but the other driver is an MW6511 and has markings that cause me to believe that its original. So my question is...are these drivers all interchangeable and compatible? Can I put your 6500 in my SDA, should I buy them both so I have two of the same drivers in the same box?

No you shouldn't replace the 6502 with a 6500. Call Polk to get a replacement. -
