are these SDA 1 B's or 1C's ?

the seller does not know himself what model they are other than SDA 1's.

they look like B's to me. but could be 1C's, right?

    I was looking at those too.. I thought they were 1C's.. I was going to talk to him if I hadn't seen the SDA II's first =(

    I think the only studio version in black were 1C's. Is that correct? There the same ones I own. Black blends in with any decor. Nice speakers.

    hmm, would it be worth trying to snag these 1C's and modding them or keeping the SDA II's I have now and modding them, in your opinion?

    I know people really like the 1C's.. just not sure how much a different upgraded caps and RDO 194's on a SDA II would be compared to similar upgrades on the 1C (do they take RDO 198s?)

    They do appear to be in decent shape,,after modding numerous SDA's,,if you have a pair of 2B's,, heck,,I do the ultimate to them and sit back and enjoy.Good luck and please let us know how it turns out.

    the 1C's are a better speaker.. they don't have the dimensional tweeter set up like your II's do.

    by all means, check out the 1C's. i've decided not to go for them..

    I currently run Amazing Plat's with a Carver TFM-42.. I haven't hooked up those SDA II's i picked up since I haven't replaced a binding post on them yet.. Happen to see those SDA II's a couple weeks ago and picked them up since I hadn't heard any SDAs before and people hear thought I might like them better with the type of music i listen too..

    She ran them with that NAD 7100 receiver she's trying to sell as well.. which is only 60-100watts i think.. which has me a bit worried about the SDAs.. we'll see

    your Carver amp will drive those very well. no worries there.

    Yeah, her NAD is underpowered for sure for SDA's.

    well if you get them. invite me over. i want to hear some 1C's again. ;)

    that sucks.. I got that feeling when she wanted me to give her my best offer.. that was before seeing or listening to them. :confused:
