The Parasound Model 2100 preamp that I own is connected to a 740C CDP via the Hero HB IC. I might get a chance to purchase the KCAg IC from Kimber in a few weeks. Will that be a good interconnect from the 2100 to a 2250 Parasound power amp? How about switching the IC's and going with the KCAg from CDP to 2100 and Hero HB from 2100 to 2250?
Jerry Raskin is selling the KCAg for $480 plus shipping for a 0.5m length. Or should I go cheaper with the Hero HB?

Currently, I am using a interconnect from BJC (connecting the 2100 to 2250) which sucks, in my opinion. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I know I can always count on you audiophiles for help. Thank You.

I would expect a night and day improvement over that BJC.

For what its worth, I have KK Hero XLRs in my system, and while I thought it sounded good, I was amazed at how big an improvement I heard after switching to MIT Shotgun S1.3 XLRs. Aside from more detail, bass, etc. the really neat thing was the soundstage opened up. The Kimber Kables were causing the soundstage to be more centered oriented. How a cable can do that I do not know, but they did. Anyway, these are the low end Kimber Kable Hero XLRs, so maybe the higher end works better.

My model 2100 Parasound preamp does not support balanced unfortunately. I'm just really sick of the BJC's. They are crap. Pure crap! The nuances fleshed out by the 740c are just coming out muddled. Sometimes they're there (with help from the Hero HB I'm sure) but most of the time, they're not. I definitely think that the BJC's are the weak link in my system for now.
Never heard of MIT before. Gotta check them out sometime.
