    I have some extra centers.

But where do you live? A local person close to you might have one too. Heck, I might be local.;)
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

    Sorry Tony.
    I just updated my profile.

    I'm in Central New Jersey.

I would love to find a local speaker as shipping can be a deal killer.

    Thanks,
    Brian

A bit of advise, if you don't mind. Just stick with trying to find the CS400(i). Trust me when I say that you will be happy you did.

Used to have one of those (CS 400i). That was indeed a great sounding center speaker. didn't care for the finish, but the sound was outstanding.

Yeah, the 400 (or 400i) is definately my top choice.
I've been looking on my local CL for a few weeks for one.

    MisterWhisker -

About a month ago, someone in Edison NJ had one for sale. I'm not sure if it sold or not, but I do see the CS400 around NJ more often than the others, and it is a very good speaker. I will keep my eyes open in South Jersey and let you know if I find one.

Someone has a 400i on CL and they want $250 for it.
    That seems a little high.
I offered him $125 and never heard back.

What should I expect to pay for a nice example?

I just saw one sell on ebay for about $150(shipped)

I am just entering this forum, hoping to find a Polk enthusiast interested in a CS400- I have one in fantastic condition, but I am mounting a flatscreen above my fireplace mantle and the cabinet is far too big. I hate to part with it and its amazing sound, but I would rather sell it to someone who knows what they are getting than an idiot who won't appreciate it. You can't find these on Ebay. I live in Colorado, looking for $200- don't know what shipping would be, this monster is pretty heavy.

Wow, I used to see CS400's all the time on Ebay last year. These babies must be getting harder to find, they really are an awesome center speaker. Good luck with the sale.

    The 400 has 2- 6 1/2" drivers and the 350 has 4- 4 1/2" drivers. Similar tweeters.

5 CS400's have sold on E-bay in the past 90 days with an average sale price of $91.80 plus shipping. There was a low of $55 and a high of $124.50. The $55 one was a BIN that was listed last Monday. Amazingly the same seller also listed a CS245 at a BIN of $65. The pic of the CS400 was one of the logo on the box, not much info of condition was stated. Typical garage sale reseller. It was probably pretty poor condition.
Before I place a bid on anything now I ask if they are a garage sale reseller. Pawn stars and American pickers has inspired so many people that don't know what they are doing to make a buck. 1 line descriptions and blurry pics, they think they have a rare high end piece. Most of them have a poor concept of what good condition is.

Opps, I made a mistake in my comment, the seller of the $55 CS400 has a CS300 for $75 BIN. Why they priced the 400 lower I can only guess was because of condition.
