AMP ventilation / heat question

I have been scouring the web for months for a decent plasma stand to work with my gear....I'll cut to the chase. What is the MINIMUM distance you would leave between the top of your amp, and the next shelf above it, assuming the SIDES and BACK of the stand are completely open. The cooling fins are on the side of my particular amp....:confused:

    Those distances should be in the users manual for your equipment,if not,contact the manufacturer for the correct answer.Different mfgs. recommend different clearances for their equipment.
    If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.
