Okay I was wondering if anyone here has ever run up on the Gorky name in speakers. I cant find anything on that name however I have found a speaker at a Pawn shop with a Gorky name on the grill. Its priced quite high for an older speaker but appears to be very well built. I didnt get a model number as it was almost buried by all the other speakers around it,but its about the size of a monitor 60 or 70 and has a very nice cabinet and grill. Thanks

Have no idea...maybe it means your a Gork if you buy it.
In the thread you posted at AK,you said it was a single speaker. Why do you only want a single, obviously obscure, speaker?

Im just trying to track down information on it. I would like to know why its priced well above anything else at this old shop, and thought someone might have seen something like this before. Because its OBSCURE is exactly why im curious about it. I have my hands full trying to restore my QLS1s , and your right I dont need a single speaker but something about this speaker made me want to dig up some information on it. You never know what you might find these days in some of the older stuff.

Sorry but I meant GOKY not gorky, I went back and looked today and it was a GOKY Melody 3 Floorstanding speaker. There were 2 speakers only one was on display. I still didnt find much online about it though.

From what little I scene. They appear to be made by Gold Sky and referenced as white van speakers. Think I would pass if I were you.

References are few and far between. Most "google" results show people asking about them, and the few answers that appear list websites that are basically redirects.

Doesn't instill a lot of confidence, to be sure.
