Upgrade Order
I'm in the market to upgrade my home theater and wanted to get some advice on what to get and in what order. I'm coming from a Pioneer VSX-D557 with a Base AM6 set (no laughing now) and a Velodyne VA-1512 all purchased more than 12 years ago while a senior in HS.
I have learned quite a bit about audio in the last 12 years (college -- EE degree, job, etc) and have realized Bose is not where I wanted to go. So I updated my mains to Monitor 70s and replaced the center channel with a CS2. This made a huge difference.
My long term plan is to upgrade my receiver, add a Bluray player, and replace the rears (to completely rid myself of the Bose) and perhaps add a media player / HTPC.
Any suggestions on what order would make the most sense to do this in for the most difference first? Also, how does this sub compare to more recent models. It can shake the room, but it is getting pretty long in the tooth. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Two Monitor 60's or 40's for the rears and upgrade your receiver to a Pioneer VSX-1120-k.
