kef cut

my kef carina IIs that are one of the best bargains i have run across have developed a tiny straight tear in one of the rubber surrounds.
any reason to think something other than 100% silicone would do any better jub of sealing and preventing further damage. thanks.

    seriously, i know the info is here somewhere. any specialty products out there that will be more likely to prolong my carinas. for 50 bucks they have been quite enjoyable, and there does not seem to be many if any parts available outside england or something.

    Have you checked with Parts Express? I know they do cone repairs. Or, they might have a suggestion?
