I recently purchased a Norh SE-9 integrated amp. It's a class A no global feedback single ended pentode. Using (2) EL34's; (2) 12AX7 (ECC83) (1) 5AR4 rectifier.

I bought this from DAGLJAM6 (Dave). What a fantastic transaction. Great communication and he packed this very heavy amp to survive a nuclear bomb........and I'm not kidding!!! It was double boxed with the outer box have injecting mold foam between it and the inner box. It took me 20 minutes and a knife to chip away the form fitting foam. OUTSTANDING job Dave.

I have since bought (2) Mullard 5AR4 rectifier's which are simply outstanding. A pair of Ei ECC83's which are the smooth long plate copies of the Telefunken and the creme de la creme of ECC83's. A 1960 pair of Valvo Hamburg 45* slant getter tubes which are simply superb.

I also bought a pair of SED Winged "C" EL34's and a pair of NOS Siemens EL34's. So far I am very impressed with this little 9wpc integrated. The pre-amp section is completely passive and it drives my 5B's superbly.

I'm loving this rig, very versatile and this is my 3rd tube integrated I swap in and out. Getting my EL34 groove on :D.

Thanks again Dave for an outstanding transaction

This is a sweet sounding budget unit. I have a few key mods in store for it. I'm going to replace the WIMA coupling caps with something, thinking Auricaps which I happen to love the sound of and they are still reasonable. I might replace the PS caps as well if I can find something suitable that will fit physically. I will replace the power tube and rectifier tube sockets w/ something a little beefier.
