Used LSi7 Black

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I didn't want to clog up the other forums.

I just spotted a pair of used LSi7's for $300 locally. Assuming that they are in good condition, if this a good price? I see a pair on Polks eb sight for $429.

    Very good price. If that is what you are looking for I would check them out.

    Apparently the guy bought them about 2 years ago but never hooked them up until about 10 months ago as he had been deployed. They were stored (climate controlled) in their original boxes. The were used as surrounds.

    The only thing is that I really had been thinking about LSi9 in cherry. If I use these in a 2-ch system, I'll likely want to run subs also. The 9's seem to have more body.

    $300 is an okay price, not great. You can most likely find a very good pair for below $300.

    LSi9s will def be nicer, but you'll probably still want to get a sub with either options especially for movies.

    Thanks. I am interested in them for 2ch music. These would be replacing my RTA11TL's. My wife really wants book space. I'd probably be interested in a musical sub also. The microPro seems to be a favorite around here but not sure if I can swing it for a while $$$.

    Just a thought if you are into 2 channel bookself speakers, you may want to look for SDA CRS+ speakers. They can be had for around three hundred and have a much larger soundstage than the Lsi 7 or 9. If you have your heart set on Lsi which are 4 ohm speakers, I would go with the 9 for two channel lessoning. Can't lose with any of the three speakers mentioned.
