Today was my seventh day on the job. So I guess it is a good thing. It was kind of funny a while later the shift manager said that the store manager asked her "If she thought I would make a good manager?" The shift manager replied "He can do the work of 3 of anyone else here". I guess that's what happens when you do in stead of asking or waiting to be told.

The corporate ladder is not as much of a mystery as most make it out to be. It's usually in the middle of the room. When you notice it, you have 2 choices - climb it, or stand there counting the steps like most of the others. You my friend started climbing without concern of how many there were. Now that you're up there - don't look down, and don't look up....just keep climbing. Great job!

Thanks all. I was laughing on the inside when I was asked, I was thinking wow, I've only been here 2 weeks, only on my seventh day and I have showed up all those that were here before me? 14 years ago when I worked at McD's it took me six months to get into a supervisory position. I start training tomorrow and had 3 1/2 hours added to my shift. Well I got to go jump in the shower and get ready for work.
