hey all i'm new here but have been browsing here and there. as much as i love having bragging right i don't think my $ is spent efficiently for my set up.

here's my current setup with denon 1610:

currentsetupp.jpg

Being a small bedroom i think my current setup is an overkill, i want a setup that is the most "efficient" that fills the room "just right", no more, no less. 1/3 music, 1/3 br (will be priority in future), little gaming through pc

i'm thinking about trying: (f/r/c)

30/30/cs1
40/30/cs1
50/30/cs1
60/30/cs1

i can't have monitor 40 as rear due to space

tia for any input / suggestion. btw great forum!

There's no such thing as overkill. Keep your speakers if you can fit them. You'll find ourself wanting them in the future, trust me. + 1 on the better receiver, with more power, you'll be able to play at lower volumes with a fuller, crisper sound. Overkill is all up to you, take it easy on the volume knob and enjoy.

Honestly I would just keep what you have, its a good set up. AVR is always nice to upgrade and get something with Pre outs, in the future then you could add an amp if you wanted to ect.

Many people on these forums rave about Sunfire.

NAD 747 might do you good.

Anything decent with pre-outs + an Adcom 5channel amp would be great. Bi amp your front 70's and CS2. Use receiver to power the rear 30s.

This isn't concrete or anything but rather just some ideas. I'm interested in hearing some other ideas in this thread.

PSW10's strength is that it matches Monitor series cosmetically to the dot. Performance-wise... not so great.

PSW 505 matches the Monitor series cosmetically pretty well also. If cosmetics is an issue for you.
