can anyone tell me the story behind this wire? why are there 3 strands instead of just 2 and what are you supposed to do with the 3rd strand?

im seriously considering it and will probably get new wire when i get a new receiver. so what do you do with the third strand? and why is it there? an answers would be appreciated even if they arent 100% accurate ;)

This story happened not so long ago, in a far away place where decidious nature once flourished amidst the suburbian backdrop.

And in this region lived a humble-poor man. In a not so special house with no special land.

He did however have quite a hobby-
electronics , transducers, amplifiers, wires and things

In this time the old man bought, and bought and bought
But no product before him ever made him happy
No gear brought a smile and was pushed out quickly!

Until that fatefull morning when a package arrived.
"another disappointment for me" he chimed
He quickly opened the box before him to discover
Braided purple 13 gauge wire in wonderfull splendor.

"I wonder" says the old man as he terminates the ends
Could it be a cheap solution or to be thrown in the garbage can.
He persisted with a hope that it would satisfy him
Hooked it up to the Rotel amplifier and the LSi connections

And what he heard that morning, is something he never felt before..

The normal failures be gone, no more! he implored
The wonderfull clarity, I want more!

He listened and listened till he could no more.
That night as he slept with a grin and snorred
Knowing Ixos is relief from all the wire bores.

ATC, holy crap man - take a break will ya? sleep....

    Great rhyme Sean....

I second the IXOS wire upgrade...it's a cheap drop in the bucket and def sounds better than lamp cord or Monster XP for the same price. Go for the 6005 and the 6003. Cheap good stuff.
