How are the tweeters oriented? The 12c and 12b (I believe) are horizontal, and the first 12 was vertical.
Also the first one has a silver plate surrounding the tweeter and the 12c was black, not sure of the B.
I enjoy my RTA-12c's every day, great speakers!

mine has to be a b or c then, horizontal mounted tweeter
with black surround, not silver.
love my rta-12's too, are the mains in my system. one of the drivers became distorted recently
(when you press on it, you hear a metal on metal grinding, hence causing the distortion i'm sure. i swapped in my only spare driver (that i got off ebay) it is why i am wondering if they still make it new./or something considerred compatableLiving Room 2 Channel -

Ok, the "A" takes the MW6500 and the "B & C" take the MW6501. I know the MW6501 is still available. The best thing to do is contact Polk Customer Service on Monday, give them your S/N's to determine your model and see about replacements.Political Correctness'.........defined
