Any takers?...I think the most expensive speaker I ever heard was around $20k, I am always amazed at speakers at this price point. Just how much better do they sound? Anybody heard a set at this price point?

Not really. I've heard awesome and it sure didn't cost that much.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

There is so much good gear out there. I think the bar for true stereo has been in a general sort of way been raised over the years, lots of trickle down to take advantage of. I like the idea of engineers and such folks responsible for R&D being able to do no cost limits design to reach out and try things for speakers and gear, we all pay a bit for it no doubt.

for being sooo much I think they should be able to dig lower than what they do....they would probably want you to buy their 200K sub for that lol
-
I would spend $200K for the perfect speaker, if it existed. Until then I'll stick with lower cost items with massive bang for the buck.Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
I would never spend 200k on speakers.. I will just stick with my "Bose Wave Radio" Better then SDA's anyway and a lot smaller and they fill the room with sound just the same......
