I was at a local shop in Woodridge IL, and listen to this combo, Joseph Pulsar speakers, Manley Snapper, ( not pictured is the Neo Classic preamp.

1st off, the size of the Joseph speakers are deceiving on the sound. The speakers are small and sound much bigger then they are. The price on them though is $7000. I thought a bit high on the price for the size but wow. Balanced, clean, amazing amount of bass considering the size of them. I thought I would miss the room shaking lows but, honestly, no..... I never once even noticed that was missing! I am still in shock.

The Snapper's were again a amazing sounding amp... well the combo was just dead on. Sorry for the phone pic but it is all I had on me at that time. This setup is way out of my price range but from what I heard,,,,, wow.

Just thought I would share part of my weekend with you all.

That combination and more, including that rug, was at the Capital Area Audiofest posted here in June. It's an excellent rig to say the least. They were right across the hall from us(Polk).

Yep Holm audio I live in Bolingbrook. Love that place LOL.

I was just shocked on the sound out of the speakers. I closed my eyes and there is no way you could tell the size of the speakers.

I co-concur. That was a very impressive sounding rig at the Capital Audio Fest. It was my favorite. The rug is way cool too.

I have not heard the new LSiM bookies yet, but if I did not have a wife, 2 kids, mortgage, car payment, tuition and a rabbit that Manley/Joseph combo would be in my rig.

I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

The guys at Holm have always been rightfully proud of their Joseph's, especially when paired with the Manleys. Hard to argue with that combination if you have the bucks. Besides, if you're unhappy, they'll do whatever it takes to make it right.

"if you're unhappy, they'll do whatever it takes to make it right".

That is for sure. they are fantastic with service their service. For a lot of the equipment, they do offer a in home trial also since things do sound different at home vs the store. More audio shops used to offer that but, many of them are either out of business now or have gotten away from that.

Unless something has changed, turntables are not on the home trial list anymore. Their turntable guru and I share a like for Nottingham tables (except for their tonearms).
