    I guess not. If you are into baseball even a little bit you will enjoy watching what these 12 and 13 year old kids can do.

    I think some of these kids have been fed corn, steroids, and human growth hormone their entire lives.

    Yes, it is fairly big news here. The Hamilton, OH team is local and they did fairly good last year.

    FYI...your old carver amp is doing well with the SDA 2.3s. Although playing Handy Manny songs for my 3 year old off a zune dock may not be critical listening...

    I live just outside of Williamsport(12 mi.). The locals are BIG into this for sure! The facilities have come a long way since I moved here 20+ years ago and it's great atmosphere. I just need to find the time to go across the river and see some games in peson. I know some people that volunteer each year to be an "uncle" for the visiting kids and they have a ball(literally)...I plan to also do this when I semi-retire.

    A lot of people don't realize this but ramping up of security on all levels has been going on for months behind the scenes. It boggles the mind to hear about what is invloved and it seems it's more intense each passing year. I'm all for it as these are experiences that kids and adults alike will have for the rest of their lives.

    Japan certainly did seem to be the best team all through the games. They had some unique traits...like verbally acknowledging signs from the coach before stepping up to the plate and then making some sort of verbal call normally toward the pitcher when stepping into the batters box. Also, they were trying to signal the pitch location to the batter whenever anybody was on 2nd base....and none too subtle about it. All part of baseball...loved it! The free admittance/parking and cheap "baseball food" along with watching kids have the time of their life is what makes LL great!
    The atmosphere at these games is great...actually the atmosphere around town can be appreciated during this short time here. It's sort of like how peoples attitudes change(for the better) somewhat near Christmas or New Years...need to have this outlook more often! Of course, all the local merchants are smiling too just like they do at holidays!

    I watched a few of the final games on TV and I was really impressed with the kids on these teams. I agree with Zero, nice to see the kids just looking like regular kids and not fed with the growth hormones.
