Blocking channels

I blocked MTV the other day, primary due to the complete and utter garbage that is Jersey Shore and other similar content. A few of the kids in my house (primarily the teenage girls) would watch this virtually 24/7 if I allowed it. Not in my house.
Have you ever blocked a channel or content on your TV? If so, what and why?

Dude, you need a proofreader! -
I also had CMT blocked until the kids grew out of that phase. Talk about awful content...!

my daughter's only 2.5 years old, but I am already thinking about how to approach that. She will be in the room while my wife and I are watching something that seems tame like the Daily Show and Stewart drops a bleeped f-bomb and a not bleeped **** (I have a difficult time understanding the distinction). I am not looking forward the that aspect of child-rearing...

Yeah, it's a great, big world put there. You can't shelter them from everything. I think that's usually counter-productive anyhow, but some things you can control - like the TV! Of course, the kids always tell me they've heard worse on the school bus - no doubt! If you're thinking about it now, I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy!

I haven't had to do anything like that as mine are too young, but it's just so funny. This is necessary censorship LOL.For Sale 2019:

ROTFLMAO! I just don't have time to watch the boob tube much. when I do my wife and watch cooking shows (I join her while invariably tweaking something hardware related on the 2channel rig). I did catch Derek Trucks on Palladium HD? at the in-laws last month...omg...just beautiful music, he is really such a tasteful player. I never knew he was married to Susan Tedeschi! For Sale 2019:

In that case, when the kids get a little older, you might want to block the food network, lest you and your wife get carried away!;) -
I pay very CLOSE attention to the cooking shows:
