Joe's new album comes out pretty soon. He revamped his website and the new single will autoplay. It sounds like the jam. I didn't much care for Chickenfoot but can't wait for this one!
Pretty cool- you can pre-order for $15 and get a signed copy of the new album. They also posted tour dates for the first leg.

Joe Satriani is a God. I enjoyed the Chickenfoot album very much. Just a simple hard rock album with no frills.

Agreed, saw him live at the Hippodrome in B-more. I've been a fan since Surfing With the Alien. In fact that will be the first record I play once the system is back up and running.

I have just about every Satriani album and kind of got out with engines of creation he kind of lost me there, is his newer stuff more like his old stuff?
-
He's always playing with his sound. I've got just about all his stuff.
Some is great, some is just ok. His last one was just ok.
Either way. he always gives it his all. Engines of creation
has grown on me over the years."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
Sounds cool! Have to check it out.
Have most of his stuff. Have been listening to him for over 15 years. Also, got to see him in concert...he was excellent!..... ><////(*> -

He does seem to change with every album. My favorite is Super Collasal. If you don't have it-pick it up.My Main Gear

My favorite album is Surfing with the Alien, "Always with me, always with you". I haven't heard any of his new stuff yet.

I was listening to 'Electric Joe Satriani: An Anthology' this morning. Great guitarist.

Satriani never disappoints in concert. And I agree Surfing with the Aliens is a great record and a gateway to the rest of his work.

I saw him at The Starland Ballroom in NJ with my son a year or two ago - one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Pure virtuosity, no frills.
