This thread rminds me when I was in the Army... if an individual really screwed up his new nick name became "smegma lips" and was on box duty untill redemption.
can any1 figure out what box duty is? Its a box with 4 holes and thats as far as I go.

I never did get into the AM Drinking like my alcoholic sister did/does... LOL
I stear clear, I have kids and don't think it's such a good role model to see Ol' dad all smashed at 8am or 1pm for that matter.. Guess that was left behind when i was younger and didn't have a wife and kids.. Now i keep it to the weekends..
Bad enough my 4 1/2 year old knows what beer is and bars are where you drink it at, No thanks to one of our vulgar mouthed friends who drinks and doens't wanna grow up at 38 with small kids, LOL
Otherwise enjoy!! after a hard nights work i don't blame ya!!!!!!!

I agree with this point through and through.
My family, "in general", for as long as I could remember partied and had/have alot of fun together but never crossed the line where the children were influenced negatively in any way.
I would never do anything that would show my daughter, or any other child for that matter, that it is OK too act like a goof. It also comes down to how you handle your booze. I'm the type of drinker that I love even my worst enemies and am way more tolerant than in a sober state. I have never been a fighter or antogonist and am the extreme opposite of the antogonist while partying but many individuals are not like that unfortunatly. If I did get mean, angry, depressed or antoginistic I would not drink alcohol because that is just not fun and life is way too short. But if an individual does not lose what is important in life then I say have fun.
I guess my attitude and tendencies are a direct reflection of my childhood experience's which is when partying and having fun don't cross the line of obsurdity. If you do then theres a problem that the individual needs to address and perhaps should not partake in alcoholic beverages.
Its all about the individual in this case.

That wasn't meant to be a personal attack by no means,(i don't think you thought that either) BUt Dealing with a Alcoholic sister as i do and have for years *(as they say,off again/on again) I try my best not to get tangled in that web, I did enough when i was younger...
After i had a kid in 98 i decided to keep it to weekends and usually at Restaurants and outings.. Not to much around the house.. Kids these days catch on so fast.. My niece and nephew that are 12 & 14 both got caught drinking and smoking about 6 months ago, needless to say what sibling of mine kids they were..
Not to turn this into a Alcohol debate.. I'm not trying to do that. Just when i see people talking about drinking at ?AM and kids and such brings me back to what my sisters kids have to deal with. I'm sure that is not the case with you or anyone on the board that we are close to anyways ,,,
Anyways!!!!!!! It is FRIDAY.. and i do get the urge still.(beer). even with a 4 year old and 11 month old driving me nuts around hereMY HT RIG:

People these days, that smoke or do drugs, honestly need a brain transplant. It makes ZERO sense to me, because you know the affects, and you know their not good. Same with beer, or any alcoholic beverage, you know what is gonna happen - at a certain point you can pass out and possibly not wake up. We may catch on faster but were still morons. Atleast I try to stay away from being one.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

With all do respect you sound like a person who swallowed all the Liberal B.S the public school had to offer you, and then some.
Everything is bad for you these days...Blah blah blah blah.
Smoking. You know the risks. If you smoke it's your CHOICE. Thats what America is about. The right for you to choose what you do or don't do. Same thing with Alcohol.
I'm going to enjoy my life. I'm not going to live it worrying about what the **** is going to kill me as it constantly changes each day. The key is moderation, and if you don't want to do things moderately THATS YOUR CHOICE!

Another thing...Ever see the oldest people in the world that they interview? Almost all of them say they've smoked cigars, cigarretes, or had a little alcohol each day. Everything is a RISK. Yup, have to agree. The key, to me, is knowing your limits and what moderation means. Not that I always adhere to it... -
I'm at the first tee again. I'll probably only play the front nine today. Ouch! What a doozy.Make it Funky!

MX, you haven't enjoyed the intoxication of a good beer. It's not always about getting as wasted as possible. You WILL go through the puking drunk at the bar, we all do at one point. You don't see the logic in it right now but it will come. I guarantee.:)
Beer is a great thing, just don't over do it....

Demi,
Your blood pressure ending just struck me as funny coming after your "mini-rant." Actually I could not agree more on your stated personal responsibility thoughts.
I've had the opportunity to travel Europe a few times during the past eight years. One of the two most striking things in evidence there, that I wish Americans would embrace, is the expected level of personal responsibility. There individuals, and therefore their governments, insist upon it, whereas here, every opportunity is afforded us to avoid it.More later,

Im not killing myself from worrying, if you are going to rant - atleast know the person your ranting to. Its my life, and i believe you can have fun without drinking, and smoking. I think Drugs, SMoking, and Drinking are all the dumbest and most money wasteful thing man has managed to bring up in the worst used way. IMO - now leave me alone, moron. O really? Man, you keep this mess up - I will be driving my Bozo Filter insane. Dude, I think you have the wrong side of this *argument*, you make zero sense. Infact you sound like an ****$. What does that not make sense of to you? All the entire thread above told you exactly what I thought of you, and exclaimed that I have no idea why you are talking to me (because i have to click show this post so I just see it) It takes alot of time. Anyways, conversation over. Drink your beer.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
