Can anyone ID these speakers? Monitor 12's?

Saw them on craigslist posted with 2 mini monitors for $250. They look like Monitor 12's to me, although I've never seen them with the black finish. If they are in fact 12's, they worth the price tag?

    They sure do look like monitor 12's. The black may or may not be stock. Polk did a lot of screwin around with finishes on their models back in the day. I guess you can do that when you make your stuff in the USA! Are they worth 250? Depends on how bad you want em I guess. I see Sda's go for 250 sometimes, and more often then I see 12's for sale. What is the condition, and how deep are your pockets?

    Paycheck coming in tomorrow...so I'm loaded! :) I'll likely have to talk him down a bit to justify it, I'm running SDA's as my mains in the living room but thought these might work nicely in my bedroom system, currently vastly undersized. Anybody know anything about the mini monitors? They enough to get me excited on their own or should I just be happy to get them as a tag-along?

    Monitor 12-II's. One of my friends parents' has a pair. And yes, they came in black, just like most Series II speakers. :p

    I don't know much about the mini-Monitors. I guess it'll depend on the tweeter used. Either way, a pair of Monitor 4/4.5/4.6's would be nice for side & rear surround speakers.

    M12's they be. Listen to them a while then do the RDO's and XO's to start. You'll need a HEALTHY amp to drive them(they do like the juice).
