George Daniels sold me a sweet pair of RCA Red Base 5692 (6SN7) tubes for my Wright WLA12A that he steered me toward.

I found a quad of Amperex Bugle Boy 6ER5s for my Wright WPP100 that George also steered me toward.

I wanted to try both sets of tubes separately but got impatient.

This has to be the sweetest combination possible.

Everything is better with the mids and bass. The sound stage is the deepest I have heard to date. The bass and mids are fast and strong.

The Wright Preamp has always made for great separation and air but even with the Hytron CBS 5692 tubes I could hear when I rotate the volume or selector switch but the RCA red bases have removed that and are dead quiet.

I am using RCA clear tops for the 12AU7s in the Phono preamp along with the Bugle boys.

The synergy is unbelievable.

I found Nirvana Nevermind and Pink Floyd DSoTM on Vinyl (both 180gram) at Frys this morning.

Having a ball, Thank you George !
