PSW 202 Blown fuse - possible short

I bought the PSW 202 subwoofer a few years ago. Didn't really use it for a few years since my parents didn't like the bass. I recently moved out so I decided to hook it up. There was no power, so I changed the fuse, which blew as soon as I plugged it in. I assume there's a short somewhere; which is beyond my knowledge of electronics. Could this be a product defect? Anywhere I could send it to? I live in eastern Ontario, Canada.
