    Uh, wish I had another.

I just cut the avacado open, use a fast knife into the pit and twist to get it out, dumped a bunch of sea salt (Kosher), on there, then a bunch of olive oil and good Balsamic.

You could add a little beer or cayenne even; neither of which I did.

    So freaking good.

not me, but thanks for sharing. de gustibus non est disputandum.

    To the OP

    1) Do you broil 'em or just eat 'em raw thus?

    2) You might like one of our summertime favorites - maters, basil and cheese.

fresh sliced tomatoes (right outta the back yard is best)
mist with a little olive oil
top with a slice of fresh mozzarella cheese - the fresher the better (or smoked, if you prefer)
dust the whole shootin' match with diced or juilliened fresh (again, back yard is best) basil leaves
drizzle balsamic vinegar over the top
chill a bit if you like in the fridge
    devour

One of the best fruits, for sure. When they're seasoned properly (the key, IMO) they are unbelievable.

    Caprise! Love that, too.

Think I'm going to have to do that later.....with fresh avocado slices, too.
