Just to pick the collective brain power out here on the forum.
All things being equal which banana would be better?
Gold plated
silver plated
or Rhodium plated
and why would you pick one over the other?
Thanks for the input

I prefer plantains!
Not a fan of gold plating, or silver plating. I'm not sure about rhodium, but I probably don't want it for the same reasons.
I want the connector to be the same metal through and through. Nickel alloy, something like that. I'm just not a fan of copper, plated in nickel, plated in zinc, plated in gold, touching gold, plating zinc, plating nickel, plating copper.
I scored some of these at a surplus store way back when. Awesome build quality as the banana has a smooth, yet stiff spring action(not those crappy mini leaves that break off):

Just the opposite here, I prefer silver or gold plated copper body. Vampire makes a very affordable copper alloy nanner, but for a pure copper nanner, expect to pay a lot more."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

In the scheme of things, it won't make any difference.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
