Hey all,
Based on the HT setup in my sig, do you think this amp would improve the 2 channel sound (I listen to more music than movies)? The HK is pretty powerful, and I like the sound I am getting, but have but looking for a way to try external power for pretty cheap and I can pick up the Adcom GFA-2535 for 125. Should I try it?
Peace,
Paul

That is a good price on the Adcom if it is in good shape. I don't know if it will really improve your two channel sound for your fronts. I would think in that application you would want something with a little more power.
For HT though, it would be a good addition bridged for your center channel (200W) and would most likely carry your surrounds pretty well lightening the load on the HK for the fronts.
You should not have a problem reselling it to get your money back out when your trial is over. -
I've owned one of those before. It's a nice sounding amp, but not a powerhouse. For the price I would pick it up & give it a shot. As mentioned, bridge two of the channels & power your center with it as well. For $125 you can hardly go wrong. They normally go for more than $200.

Thanks for the advice guys. One other question: Would it be possible to use this to essentially bi-amp both my fronts? For instance, could I use the bridged channel to power one main speaker, and then split my preout signal into the other two channels and use those two channels to bi-amp the second main speaker? Would this essentially give me 200 watts into 8 ohms for my left and right channels?Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
