JHC Mole, you're getting a really nice pair of speakers that deserve better than that. As for mods and stuff, stop posting for awhile and get your search on. There's a ton of that info here.

Check out the Vintage Denon POA series Power Amps. I am using a POA-2400 with my SDA-SRS and they seem to work well as a package. And the amps don't break the bank either.

2.3 TLs are fabulous SDAs. Power them with a high quality, high current amplifier and you'll be set and smiling for a long time to come.

As far as upgrades/updates/tweaks go there is more information here about them. All you need to do is spend some time searching and reading. If you get stuck on a search I'm sure someone will point to the right thread you need.

Spikes, RDO-198's, and XO's upgrades are the best....DONE!

Now if you still want more like me with mine, you can do:
    1) Tweeter, Driver, and PR Brackets from Larry
    2) Dynamat all the Metal Baskets
    3) JB Weld the Driver's

    That's all I got...ha ha

Sonicap doesn't make an 16, use two 8's instead. Total of six 8uF.
Sonicap doesn't make an 18, use two 9's instead. Total of four 9uF.
Mills doesn't make a 22.5 ohm. Use a 10 and 12.5 instead. Total of four each.
Don't forget the .5 ohm to replace the poly. Total of two.

Yeah ok. He told you what the schematics call for. I gave you what you need to order to match the values on the schematic.

I didn't think they could make a 15 turn into a 16, just smaller differences like the 5.6 to a 5.8. At least, that's what I remember Jeff saying.
