Polk RM705 Subwoofer Hookup
I am new to this HT area. I just got a Denon 1911 avr which has 1 connection for subwoofer out (mono).
Polk rm705 subwoofer has L and R inputs.
How to connect for the best performance. like a subwoofer cable to L only or R only or to use a simple Y split from the AVR and use L and R or RCA to subwoofer.
Please help.

Y splitter will work just fine.
Other subwoofers will have a single input called an LFE input hence the single output on your receiver.
Btw, welcome to Club Polk!

If you only have a single sub connction, the directions say that either L or R connection only is fine. I believe this is option #1 in the manual.

Go with the "Y" connector.
I had the same situation and someone posted that using the "Y" to left & right increased the output from just connecting one channel.
I tried it out and they were right!
