...imagine that! Totally wasn't expecting that revelation!

As far as the game last night, Dallas needs to pick up some pass protection for the QB. That line was falling over far too often with too many missed coverages. Then again, Dallas showed a pretty deep level of talent with decent play overall for the first pre-season game. At least they weren't the penalty kings again. The Bengals drew 12 of the 16 penalties of the game.

The Bengals D and special teams looked sharp as well. That offense...I'm hoping it's just dusting off the cob webs and shaking the gear out but they can't be that unproductive when the regular season starts. Granted, it's just the pre-season but Dallas, even though they weren't very productive themselves on offense, they showed the ability, they need to get the team cohesiveness together. If they do that and that has been the question about them year after year, they will be the team to reckon with this year. There is alot of talent for their opponents to overcome. If they start firing on all cylinders, lookout.

Same goes for the Bengals. They showed good defense but if that offense doesn't step up, they are a wash. That's gonna be hard with drama queens like Eightfive and T.O. on the roster. Especially with T.O. already starting his shenanigans and Eightfive already drawing media attention with his gold shoes.

Not that I'm making any predictions but that game could very well have been the Super Bowl matchup this year. On paper, those are two of the best teams in the league this year. It'll be fun to see if they can live up to or exceed the numbers on the paper.

On a better note, congrats to all the hall of fame inductees. I officially feel old now. The guys I grew up watching are now in the H.o.F.! Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice were both inducted this past weekend.

Might be so. But, like I said, it's week 1 of the pre-season. The starters didn't play much at all after the first half. He had pretty good protection for the first drive, the Bengals D just stepped up when it counted.

That would suck for the Cowboys though because all they got in the wings are Jon Kitna, Matt Nichols and Stephen McGee. Kitna has talent but his track record is pretty bad. Nichols and McGee are both fresh outta school and untested. Well, McGee was an '09 draftee but he has like this much >< playing time. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them wasn't on the roster come September.

Not that Romo is that much of an improvement over Kitna. Again, the kid has talent but he seems to lack focus and consistency. We'll see how it goes. But if the Cowboys don't do anything this year, they'll be looking for a QB next year.

I have said for years that TO is never worth it for a team, I don't care how talented he is.....he brings so much mental baggage and drama to the table that far outweighs what he brings to a team talent wise. I fully understand the absolute shame that is.

apparently there is no shortage of teams willing to learn that lesson the hard way. go figure....... Gm's of these teams make millions to make stupid choices. Where do I sign up for that job?

It's never the cancer's fault when we remove it!

Consider Cincy either: a)the pathologist's office, where the cancer is dealt with properly and used appropriately, or b)the site to where the cancer metastasized!
