Well, it came early for me!

Visiting the old man here in Killeen, Texas. Things have gotten alot better between the two of us considering it's been since 2002 since I last saw him. We still talk war stories which is pretty funny (he's an older vet) cause we just shoot the **** about our times out in country and, well you know :)

Anyway, I was wondering why he had bought me a 1-way ticket to here and just yesterday he said 'Hey, here are your keys!' A bit puzzled I ask 'keys to what?' 'Keys to your new car! Happy Birthday or whatever the hell you want to call it' lol That's just how he is, but oh man is this thing sweet!

The styling is still growing on me, but as soon as I get behind the wheel of that turbo'd I4, those thoughts are left in the dust!

Pics to come!

Oh btw, it's an '03 PT Cruiser GT (2.4ltr turbo charged and fully loaded, even with all available options minus GPS)

Oh yeah, past few nights have gone on pretty late...just sitting down and talking, getting to know eachother some more and filling in the gaps where we left off. All in all, things are much better.

I am sure the gift of the car pales in comparison to the gift of spending quality time with your old man. Hope you guys keep enjoying each others company.

Most definitely. This trip was something I just had to do, better late than never to spend quality time with family! Just wish I could say the same for my sister :(

nice lil PT. that has the 2.4L turbo motor that is also found in the Dodge SRT-4. it has a lil less power but alot of the same mods can be added to it. if you have any ?s about the motor or parts for it, LMK.

Well, I had a great time although the weather was a bit much for me.

At the moment, I'm having thoughts about going back next month after my b-day.

Any Polkies want to get together that are around the Ft. Hood area? Think there are some in Austin. :)
