Need to make a decision on which one stays to power my center channel for my H/T system and one gets sold/traded.....The Adcom is pretty dirty, nicks scratches ect...the Lux is mint. Both work fine, the Lux is supposedly a little more powerful in the mono mode. The winner will be driving a Tannoy Saturn 8. Place in town will give me more for the Adcom then the Lux as he says everyone owns an Adcom and few people know about Luxman.

Thoughts/tips and suggestions are all welcome :)

I greatly preferred the Luxman, but bridging it and running it on a center is a waste IMO. It's a very musical amp. Yes it's got balls bridged, but it's very sweet sounding and should be on fronts.

I did an A/B/C between the M-117, a Carver TFM35 and an Adcom GFA 555 (not II), over a weekend. I liked them all, but the Adcom was too forward to use as a surround amp. It distracted you with the laid back Carver and Luxman in front. I tried the Adcom in font, but it eventually wore me down. The best combo was Luxman in front, Carver in back, Adcom went home.

    That's just my taste.

You can sell the Luxman all day long in the $500-$550 range. I've seen them go for $800 on epay. Adcom 555s top out around $400.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE
