Mixing RtiA with the previous generation Rti?

Does anyone have experience with matching the current Rti A line with the previous Rti generation ?

I am getting Csi A4 center that I'd like to match with Rti6 fronts. Will these be timbre matched? Per specs/pictures they seem to be using same/very similar tweeter.

Yeah they are timber matched. I'm running the older csi3 center with the new RTi A3's in the fronts and they are matched pretty close. the newer A models are pretty much just a new cabinet. They use the same drivers with supposedly a minor tweak to tame the bright sound down a bit. Im sure you'll be happy with the sound.

+1 to the above posts about timber matching. I have the CSiA6 for my center with my RTi12's. Perfect audible match IMO.
The biggest matching issue is probably with the style and or finishes--The cherry finish between the lines is slightly different--The RTi cherry is a bit more red, while the RTiA line is a bit more brown. This wasn't so much a problem with me since my center is really not visible-well at least not enough to notice the difference in the cherry finish.

I ran RTiA3s with my CSi3 center, and RTi4 rears.

    Very sweet and matched combo....

RT2000p are oldie but goodie and still running fine as fronts, but I want to use RTiA3's as wides for Audessy DSX. Currently use RT35's but wife wants cherry cabinets b/c the wides when properly placed are "in your face" (actually 11' away vs RT2000ps @ 16')! Any thoughts would be appreciated.
