so i was working on a deal with the Polk Refurb/ebay store for a set of LSi 25 and she just emailed me saying they just stopped selling the LSi 25 til further notice. this sucks. i know they had 20 of them listed yesterday.

wonder if it has anything to do with the new LSi lineup coming out?

Save your money by getting LSi15's instead and an SVS or Epik sub (if you're going the HT/music dual purpose route).

I personally liked the MicroPro's alot for music, but they don't dig deep enough for HT, especially if you've got alot of room. I'd say check out Polk's DSW series if you don't want to drop some coin on the big boy subs.

Call Polk CS and asked them what's going on. They will help you figure it out, and perhaps buy them if they are able to sell.

It looks like they have sold 8 sets in the past 90 days. They typically list items every three days. It could be they were just repeating listings until it sold out. I don't think they had 20 listings maybe 10.

If I have good quantities of an item I will keep multiple listings out for more exposure until I sell down. If you look at the dealer who sells complete home theater sets, who is to say that those are not the same speakers he has listed individually.

they may also have found another channel to get rid of the inventory. If a product has run its course in the U.S. it can end up in secondary markets. There may be a bunch of happy employees at a call center in India. LOL

What do you mean, you "almost had a deal worked out"?
It's an auction, right? So how does someone work a deal for a different price???
I'm just wondering if I missed something on their site...

+ 1 on Freddy's suggestion. The only thing the 15's give up to the 25's is the powered sub, so save some cash, pick up the 15's and get a bigger, badder non-Polk sub. The new Epik's or an SVS would be your best bet. The RTi12's wouldn't be a bad choice either, but if you can swing the LSi's, go for it.

iskandam has a used Epik Castle FS. so thinking about that or a new Epik Empire now after talking with Chad@Epik today.

i will know next week which speakers ill be going with, @399 for the RTi12s, thinking they will be it.
