currently with direct for years, we dont have any real complaints with them, except we pay 94 dollars a month, the same money with dish would get us all the movie channells and other channels we dont now get. we dropped dish 4 or 5 years ago because of inferior sd equipment. if anyone has had both in hd or is currently with dishs hd package, tell us what you think of pic quality dependability of signal, service etc. thanks for any help.

i have always thought that myself, with the price and subscriber base differences it would seem one is well above the other. but i have never even laid eyes on a dish high def setup, and you have to get wrapped up with whoever you change to for a year or two unless you want to buy equipment.humpty dumpty was pushed

I sell both at work. Dish on average is cheaper, but hardware is more fully featured on direct. Customer service is better on direct, too. Cool deal on dish is getting a 722 HD DVR that can also operate another SD TV, if that does anything for you. If you want HD on every TV go with direct. Dish also leases up to 6 tuners, but direct only does 4. HTH.

i know DirecTV has that referral program where you refer someone and you both get $100 off of your bill.
i can gladly help you out with this.

We have Dish (2 year contract) and I absolutely HATE it. Their support is an absolute joke. Can't WAIT 'til next Feb when I can climb up a ladder and take that god-forsaken garbage can lid off my roof."I did not slap you. I high-fived your face."

i think Direct TV has a program where they will pay your cancellation fee from Dish network if you switch over.mole' -
