This show is not like any other. Steam tractor sled pulls. 100hp steam tractor is something to hear. The have 3 or 4 steam engines on rails, one is a Baldwin and a Shea.

They have a steam power plant and carousel.

I like the Fords and JD popping johnny's.

MY wife's grandfather would sit and listen to the stack music of a steam tractor powering a double blade Sears wood mill.

It is a great show and a great place to take the family. $20 passes for the show which 5 days.

If you are into engines this is the place to go to see how this country used to farm and live.

I haven't been to that show for many years. They used to have some great bluegrass music bands playing live.

May have to check that one out some time since it is closer.

I have been to this one ( http://www.rollag.com/index.php ) several times and really enjoyed it but haven't been for several years because of the drive.

I've got an old "Baldwin Gleaner" which is a pull behind, self powered combine that I should let one of those exhibitors have.......not doing much sitting up in the bushes!:( A word to the wise Stay Back a safe distance from any steam equipment operated by an unknown person ! A hotshot newbie blew one up some time back and IIRC, injured/killed some people and self !

Does your 8N have the distributor in front or on the side? Great little tractor, the Model T of the field !:)

GDB, the steam engines at this show are not operated newbees and have to be inspected before firing up, they also limit how much preasure you can generate.
