Fry's Electronics always has 15's and 25's, check them out!

I got a free sub that I never ended up using (this was last year and I bet it's still in the box) when I got LSi7's for X-mas from Fry's.

RTi12's are pretty much the newer RTiA9's if I recall correctly. Not sure the differences between them but I'm sure you can look them up online or search the forum for older posts/threads.

The R50's are entry-level, why check those out if you've got LSi's in mind? They're on a whole different scale!

I will put it in perspective...5 mos ago, I found the best deal yet on my A7's basically $350 each, brand new, not refurb, and from an authorized dealer.

Just make sure you have some REALLY good power...like 150 to 200.

If you're looking at the LSi 25s, why not try the Polk Direct eBay store? I know they're refurbished, but the price can't be beat.

    Good stuff, you're set!

Yeah, the price on the Lsi 25 on Polk's ebay store is insane.

But $800 for the 12's is awesome.

Seems to be the best price around, don't think you'll be able to get them new/refurbished for less :o

Why would one use a tower speaker for a center channel when there are center channels made specifically for that purpose?

If the OP waits for the new Lsi line to come out, I bet the pricing on the present line will eventually go down dratiscally.

If you use mainly for HT, I would say the Rti's. That would be a killer setup.

those rti12's are really nice.. they can go pretty low. I find that after listening to music on them for a while I get a little bit of ear fatigue..

Matching speakers all the way around can have a nice effect. There are many who use 5 or 7 of the same bookshelf speaker for HT. Now, I don't have towers all around - not so sure I could pull that off either - but my front soundstage is powerful and seamless. None of the CSi models could blend with a pair of RTi towers better than another RTi tower. The catch, though, is it's not easy or possible to integrate this into just any setup. You have to have the appropriate space for it. Trust me, it's a nice way to go, if you can pull it off. :)

P.S. It was more or less the result of "thinking outside of the box" in order to solve a space issue... I tried it; I liked it!

im thinking about doing the 2 RTi12 for the Fronts, not sure yet if i wanna do the RTi12 for the center yet. ill have the Monitor 50 for the rear (unless i get my Monitor 70s back and fix them) and Monitor 40s for SS.

Would you have the space to accommodate an RTi12 center? They're pretty tall, so your screen would have to be up pretty high? Most times a horizontal center is the best compromise. That's why they make 'em! ;)

oh ya i have room for it. my screen is 60" off of the ground. if i get the RTi12s, i see how i like them and then get the center. ill use my CS2 for now.
