I feel a road trip is in store for somebody..:D

    Not me unfortunatly..:(

Sounds like a fair price since there is room for negotiating.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Why doesn't this happen in Seattle or Olympia? Like at a garage sale for $50 and they just want them out of the way. Dream on!

I don't know, are the surrounds the SRT surrounds or are they the LS/Fx's, There is a big difference.

I think he's pretty high on the price, regardless. Even if they are mint, they just aren't worth that much, given the age. He's trying to get close to 50% of MSRP for something around ten years old...

They may be the LS/FX or the FX1000. If they were the SRT surrounds, They would include an extra controller.
These are exclusive speakers. Owners can ask anything they want.
btw, the MSRP for the basic stereo setup was $10,000.00

Agreed. They are worth as much as the next buyer is willing to pay based on how bad he/she wants them.

Ed, How much more did the center channel and surrounds cost?

Age doesn't matter IMO as long as they are cosmetically and functionally in good shape. The quality and soundstage doesn't change just because they are older. Look at what other SDA speakers sell for now.....and with these, there are only 250 sets available so if you want them, you have to decide just how much you are willing to part with in order to experience them.

You won't be able to stay sitting on the toilet if you have them cranking but they will help with constipation at high volumes. :D
