Does anyone have any experience on how these two subs compare? Thinking about replacing my 505 with the DSW Pro 500 and would like to hear comments. My main concern is with music but it will also be used with HT.

Well, I answered my own question. Went and picked up a DSW Pro 500 with the stipulation that I could return it if not happy. Well...it ain't goin' back.
I was worried that the 10" wouldn't keep up with the 12" of the 505. Wrong.
Not only is it tighter and cleaner, it also digs a little deeper. The 505 is a nice sub for the money and was a big improvement over my old PSW12, but it just doesn't hang with the DSW Pro 500 with music. HT has not been tested yet but I ain't worried about that.
Also, whenever I ran Audessey on my Onk 807, I would have to boost the 505 by about 6db till I got what I liked. With the DSW, 3db does quite nicely.
It mates very well with the RTi A7's and the remote control is a nice plus.Fronts: Polk RTi A7's

Thought I'd break up the monotony here. Congrats on the new sub! Hope you enjoy it. Sounds like a nice setup.

I just gave it a good test of about 2 hours worth of listening and must say I am very happy with it. I was very hesitant to go ta a 10 inch from a 12 but I guess size isn't everything...Fronts: Polk RTi A7's
